Washing + full maintenance

Full service:

• Professional dry cleaning.
• Tidy-up of the surface of the garment.
• Ironing and steaming.
• Full inspection on the condition of the knitwear and a report to the customer.
• Note! Full maintenance does not include hole repairs.

Please note, upon arrival to us, all knitwear is first put into a freezer for a week to avoid pest risks. This practice minimises the risk of textile pests ending up on our premises and moving from one knitwear to another. The time for this important practice is included in the time estimate of the service above.

1. Add the repair service of your choice to your shopping cart and pay for the order. Enter the shipping address to which you want the product returned once the repair is complete. Save your order number.
2. When packing your garment for shipment, include a note with the order number, so we can mail the garment back to you. Please also include an explanation of the defect that needs repairing, the name of the product (if known), as well as the colour and the size. NOTE: Write the text “Repair Service” visibly on the outside of the package.
3. Contact customer service at info@alpaknitwear.com to arrange for the shipping.
4. We’ll send the garment back to you when the service is complete – in about 2-3 weeks. Delivery will be to the address you provided when ordering the repair service.

If you order a repair in addition to a maintenance service for the same knit, the time for the services will be extended by 1-2 weeks. This is because the maintenance and repair services are done at different locations.

Please note that the service time includes an important safety step: When the knitwear arrives, it is first kept in a freezer for a week. This practice minimises the risk of textile pests ending up on our premises and moving from one knitwear to another.

You can also inquire about repair or washing services from your local clothing care professionals. Using local services may be quicker and more ecological than shipping your knitwear to us.
