Repair service for Alpa garments
Our maintenance and repair services are available for Alpa products.
Basic repairing involves repairing a hole, or tear of about the size of a fingertip, which has not started to spread more widely.
Challenging repairing involves most situations where the knit has broken more widely. In challenging situations, always contact customer service and we will check if repair is possible. Contact us even if you are not sure what kind of repair you should choose.
Please make sure the knit to be repaired is clean.
If you order a repair for the same knit in addition to maintenance through our repair service, the maintenance and repair time for the knit will be extended by 1-2 weeks. This is because maintenance and repairs are physically carried out at different locations.
When knitwear arrives to us, it is first put in freezer for a week to avoid pest-risks. This practice minimizes the risk of textile pests ending up on our premises and moving from one knitwear to another. This practice adds some time for the repairs.
You can also inquire about repair services from your local sewing shop and it may be much quicker and ecological than shipping your knit from there to here – we will send you yarn for repair if necessary. Please contact us by e-mail if you need repair yarn for your knitwear.
